The potential health benefits of CBD

There is a plant that has been making a lot of headlines lately. It’s called cannabis. Most people know it by the name marijuana. Currently, the combined market value of the legal and black market for this plant is estimated to range between $40-$50 billion U.S. But, what about the potential health benefits of CBD and cannabis? Great question!

Numbers like these drive research and promote legalization. The information we have about cannabis is changing as we learn more. Studies going back to 2009 and 2013 tell us what we know today to be true, and that is that cannabis is a medicine. Just look at all you can do with CBD. People love to learn that they may be able to treat their symptoms without side effects and for a fraction of the cost.

There are many potential health benefits of CBD that some people are not aware of. Not only can it provide health benefits for the people of the planet, but it can also do the same for the earth too. CBD comes from the hemp plant and marijuana. These are both cannabis plants with one difference. One only contains 0.3% THC or less.

That plant is called the hemp plant. This remarkable plant has a fantastic phytoremediation capability that repairs damaged soil. It can pull toxins from the ground as well as from the air. This plant also provides one of the healthiest seeds on the planet and one of the longest, most durable plant fibers in the world. Cannabis is also the biggest cash crop in America surpassing corn and wheat.

Moreover, you can get a remarkable substance called CBD from it. The CBD that comes from the hemp plant is very mild compared to its cousin marijuana but still very effective in large dosages. The average CBD percentage from hemp comes in at only 25 active parts per million, compared to 150,000 active parts per million of CBD derived from marijuana. When utilized in a medical regimen, CBD can be extremely beneficial in helping to aide a multitude of symptoms and conditions.

Look at some of the hempsational things CBD can do. Just imagine a world where sickness wasn’t running wild. Where children, the elderly, moms, dads, brothers, sisters, soldiers, or anyone for that matter could have the right to treat themselves with a safe, effective, natural plant compound with no side effects.

Potential Health Benefits of CBD

  • Anti-Inflammatory – CBD has been reported by patients across the country to help reduce their inflammation. Scientific studies have been conducted on laboratory animals where they were given CBD and then monitored on how their conditions developed. The control groups that were given CBD saw a reduction in inflammation whereas control groups that weren’t given CBD saw no progress. CBD acting as an anti-inflammatory occurs because of the body’s endocannabinoid system. The CB1 and CB2 receptors are responsive to cannabinoids such as CBD. When they begin to interact with cannabinoids more efficient communication between cells and nerves begins to occur reducing inflammation.
  • Anti-Nausea – another great benefit for consumers of CBD is the anti-nausea effects it has. There are many different reasons someone might have an upset stomach. Many people live with nausea due to medical conditions and treatments. For those people a day without the discomfort of nausea is priceless. The muscle relaxing properties of CBD are a part of what makes it effective at suppressing nausea.
  • Inhibits cancer cells killing them – CBD also helps fight cancer. Multiple scientific studies have concluded and demonstrated CBD to be beneficial. CBD also displays behavioral characteristics allowing it to inhibit cancer cell migration via lipoxygenase pathways according to a 2011 study highlighted CBD destroying cancer cells in breast cancer. Other data and statistical information show CBD could be beneficial in fighting colon and lung cancer as well as treating conditions like leukemia.
  • Muscle relaxant – CBD can be a powerful muscle relaxant. Clinical trials have shown that CBD influences elevated levels of vascular endothelial growth factors in patients. CBD not only works as a muscle relaxant but is a potent analgesic. Studies show that the anti-inflammatory capabilities of CBD to be twice the strength of Hydrocortisone and twenty times stronger than over-the-counter aspirin.

CBD – A Safer Natural Alternative

These are just a few of the potential health benefits of CBD products. CBD is doing this and more for people. You can find multiple reports of CBD helping everyone from children to senior citizens and in between on the internet. YouTube has many real-life stories about everyday people who utilize CBD that you can watch. CBD is a powerful medicine without powerful or dangerous side effects. In recorded human history there have been 0 deaths ever from cannabis. This, quite possibly makes it the safest plant on the planet.

CBD Studies Prove the Potential Health Benefits of CBD

Studies show that cannabinoid receptors in age-related osteoporosis patients can increase the amount of bone marrow in bone mass. This means stronger healthier bones for older folks. This would make CBD consumption at a younger age preventive maintenance for bone breakage or disease in the future. Research in Tel Aviv Italy shows that CBD alone can increase the healing of bone fractures.

The prescription medication that is typically given to individuals can be avoided with natural cannabinoid medication. Cannabinoid medicine versus pharmaceuticals comes with a lot less dangerous and unhealthy side effects.

With cannabis legalization gaining momentum across the country it’s only a matter of time before more widespread use of CBD starts to happen. Gathering as much knowledge and information as you can about this incredibly versatile cannabinoid may help you or someone you know when you least expect it. A lot of folks out there don’t change their minds about cannabis until cannabis is helping them or someone they know.

It’s when this happens, that they finally start to learn about all cannabinoids like CBD have to offer humankind. As mentioned earlier it’s not only people that can reap the potential health benefits of CBD either. The hemp plant that produces CBD also holds around 50,000 uses in society today. Instead of poisoning our planet and people we could lead the future into a healthy clean, sustainable tomorrow with hemp.
